The Development of BIO-BLOX

Building on the experiences described above, a new initiative was launched years later to bring this proven technology to the market—this time through smaller, more accessible installations.

Drawing from decades of hands-on experience with this digestion method, and driven by the global urgency to reduce biodegradable waste and CO₂ emissions, we realized in 2015 that this technology needed to be shared more broadly. Our solution: compact, profitable installations that could be easily operated on-site—right where the waste is generated. This approach eliminates transport emissions and reduces costs associated with logistics, storage, and other overhead factors.

The result is a modular, container-based system under the brand name **“BioBlox.”** To support and scale this solution globally, we founded **BioBox-E B.V.**, a dedicated company focused entirely on the development and distribution of the BioBlox system.

BioBlox is a customizable solution built by combining various types of standard “BioBlox” modules into one affordable, ready-to-deploy unit. It can be delivered and installed by the customer within just a few months. Maintenance, service, training, and operational support are provided locally through our central sales and service organization, in collaboration with regional partners.

Together, we’re building a powerful network of knowledge and innovation in the field of converting organic waste into renewable energy and organic fertilizers.
